Default Comair Interview Question

When the interview is over, do you go straight to the airport for your flight out, or do you go back to the hotel? Just wondering if I need to check out in the morning before the interview. If so, what do you do with your luggage?

You check out the morning of the interview. Everyone brings their bags to the interview and leaves them in the corner of the confrence room.

Bring all your stuff with you to Comair. After you are done the Comair van will run you over to the terminal which is just on the other side of the airport.

Has anyone heard anything about a Letter of Agreement at Comair? Someone told me last week that pilots and management had agreed on a plan but I have not been able to verify that anywhere.

the airlines FLY you to the interview
Not only the airlines, but any established company should pay for your trip to the interview. Non-flying companies will pay for lodging, my experience is the airlines will have a discount rate with a crew hotel.

You'll probably get bumped once or twice depending on your trip, but I also batted 1st class 50% of the time too.

[QUOTE=jeff122670;88233] but the airlines FLY you to the interview?????QUOTE]

I used to be a ramp rat for Comair before my CFI days, they got me out to CVG on positive space for training so no worries about getting bumped. I'm guessing they would probably do the same for pilot interviews, as would most airlines? I was just suprised they flew out people like rampers and CSA to Cinci for training, I was always under the impression it was flight crews only that flew out there.

You're retarded!

Seriously though, most airlines do fly you out either space available (standby, sucky) or positive space (you have a seat, good). The one airline I know that does NOT pay for it is Island Air out in Hawaii. I was interested in them until I realized it would cost me almost $1000 out of my own pocket to go interview with them. Thanks but no thanks.

PS
Generally you can not accrue frequent flier miles when you use pass travel. Might be different with Delta.
