, LOL! So we better not discuss the Chinese corporate pilots salaries then..!

I know, I know...! It just amazes me that in an era where more information is readily available to anyone, an individual living in one of the most educated countries in the world, actually believes such nonsense.

That was my job that was eliminated. My company that was eliminated. I'm glad that makes you happy.

Also, I noticed no mainline guys responded to this.

I understand the need to get airline pilots in America back to the standards they ought to be living at. However, there are people's lives at stake in the conversion process. There's pain to be experienced. Less RJ's means less jobs, unfortunately. Bad? For the industry, no it's not bad. For the pilots that no longer have a job and don't get picked up by mainline, yes it's bad. Not everyone can be the best of the best and get the mainline job. Some people WON'T make it there. That is a tough thing and acting like it doesn't exist shows a little too much pride and arrogance.

But what do I know, I just fly Bonanza's for fun

Yup, all being replaced by planes twice that size for the same or less pay.

So, in the effort of educating myself, where can I find information about what locals make flying for asian airlines? (Not expat contracts, mind you)

Google turns up nothing but expat contracts and an article about a guy that had to sue air china to be allowed to resign.

Check your facts...

80 CRJ900s are being allowed at the regional level to replace 300 or so CRJ200s. 88 717s at DL will be replacing the balance of the lift.

Care to rephrase?

The airplanes in the picture hold 50 passengers. I believe the MGTOW is around 52,000 lbs. So per your claim a CRJ900 holds 100 people and has a MGTOW of 104,000 lbs?

BTW, over 300 CRJ 100/200s are being replaced by 70 76 seat planes and 88 B717s.

This is purely curiosity and I'm sure I could look it up, but how many pax fit on a 717 for Delta, and is that the same amount of seats Air Tran has/had on them now or is Big D reconfiguring the interiors?

It's a brand new interior, hence the delay in service entry due to FAA certification issues with the interior.

IIRC, they seat 110 or 115.
