Yup, Mason's at AA. And yes, I hope the guy he speaks of ends up active in AA union business - in a Hard Line stance sort of way.

I hear there is another election now in NY for CA rep. I'm not up on the process with ALPA at Eagle. Wasn't there just a vote already for this? Do all your NY pilots get to vote, or just Captains since it's a CA Rep? How's that work? Is it the same candidates? Just curious. I like what I've heard about this Ray guy; how has he been doing so far? Who's running against him?

He was voted in to fill a temporary vacancy, and is now running for the full time CA rep post. I do believe that both CA's and FO's get to vote for the CA rep, in their base. I'm not sure who's running against him. He's very smart in contract law, knows the pilot contract very well, and ALPA policies & procedures. He has the uncanny ability to sniff out the BS presented by the company managers and other union reps alike, and is not afraid to call them out on it. If I'm not mistaken, I believe he used to be a police officer, and at one point, ran for political office. Although I'm not based in NY, I really appreciate all that he's done for the pilot group, even before he became an ALPA rep.
