Default Regionals and Bed Bugs

Time for the truth to be told! We should report any hotel no matter what airline. If they are not going to pay us what we are worth...at least we should be put in a decent hotel! C'mon union!!!

Bed bugs can happen anywhere, not just regional airline hotels.

Which airline was this for? Nobody should have to suffer being in a bed with bed bugs. If we are supposed to act like professional they should at least treat us like professional

Pittsburgh is the number one city I see mentioned for having bed bugs in multiple hotels.

Where I work when we say there are bed bugs they tell us that there aren't any bed bugs and we continue to stay there.

Bedbugs cause misery!

Put your suitcase in the tub, then check the mattress carefully for bugs. If you see anything that is suspicious move to a different room.

Pack all your clothes in ziplock bags. When you get home put everything directly into the dryer and nuke it. Then wash all the dirty clothes in the usual fashion.

Leave the suitcase out in the garage: do NOT bring it into the house, especially not into the bedroom. If you see any bugs you can slay individuals with rubbing alcohol (use a spray bottle), and prepare for an expensive eradication. The only effective was is to use heat: the insecticides do not work.

Actually, the professionals tend to employ a treatment of gaseous nitrogen to freeze and kill bed bugs after an infestation. Quite expensive I would imagine.

The following technique is anecdotal. I have no first hand experience or scientific documentation that it works. I do it anyway.

Bed bugs are attracted to CO2 and to heat, CO2 moreso (scientific fact).. When arriving to your room, heat then unplug the iron. Place the warm iron on the bed and wait a few minutes. Pull back the bed clothes and check for bugs.
