You guys might want to read your company manuals, just because the PAX can do it doesn't mean you can.

Absolutely correct as far as the crew goes. A jumpseater might eb able to take video, although he's technically part of the crew and I suppose the FAA might prefer that he watch for traffic or something...not sure how that would play.

But definitely not good for the crew, I know a guy who got fired for doing exactly that.

Just be smart about it. Don't have a camera angle where anyone is visible or registration numbers. Also certainly don't post on Facebook and if you post on YouTube have a random user name. When it all comes down to it there's no way a video could be proven to be yours if done right. You could simply be reposting a video.
