Cockpit Footage finally allowed on Youtube?

Now that electronic devices are allowed beneath 10,000 ft does that mean people can post videos from the cockpit of landing or takeoff without certificate action? Or will these hardened felons still be brought to justice?

What is it with kids these days having to post every nanosecond of their lives on the internet? Don't ya think ya oughta maybe pay attention to what your doing as opposed to film making?

Landing and takeoff... how exciting!! Why do you think anyone would want to see it? If it has anything remotely interesting to the youtube crowd it probably means the filmmaker is dead or violated anyway.

Incorrect. Have you seen the huge number of flight sim videos where absolutely nothing happens? It doens't take much to catch these youtube pleebs.

As for feeling the need to post every nanosecond of our lives... c'mon fella. The river visual into DC or an approach into JFK or BOS from over the water on a sunny day is an awesome sight. People enjoy seeing stuff like that. Just because your life is in the doldrums doesn't mean everyone elses' is.

This may just be me but I really don't need more eyes in the cockpit critiquing my approaches than those that already do.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands of self appointed junior safety inspectors out there, sitting by their computer looking for things on YouTube to call the FSDO about.

The reason why you should never post a cockpit video on Youtube, Facebook, etc, The Sterile Cockpit Rule. Even if portable electronic devices (PED) are allowed below 10,000 ft, I somehow don't think a Fed is going to think taking a video is an essential task during a critical stage of flight. Don't forget the Feds favorite catch all of 91.13

What if you just have a GoPro set up and continuously filming?

Mounting a GoPro would amount to an alteration, is there an STC for mounting a GoPro?
