The airlines end at 65, my family ends when I pass. I could not agree with your sentiment more.

That is great! This occupation makes people forget that family and friends are important.

There are all kinds of ways to make a living flying. Everyone aspires to the Majors, but a retired buddy of mine went to work at a fractional. His quote, "In the two years since I retired, I've been to 63 airports I never saw either in the Navy or at the airline."

He loved it.

I've met several Skywest pilots who are perfectly happy living in SLC and flying the CRJ7/9.

The Majors aren't for everyone nor are they the be all and end all.

Anyone know if majors hire regional FOs? Or do they all require TPIC?

Very few have tpic requirements, but without pic you need to be well connected.

This is correct. They rather hire a RJ captain with 50hrs pic than a RJ FO with 5k SIC time.
