Relax Francis, the items I mentioned are from sections that have been TA'd with the exception of compensation and from the companies last proposal has come up from current book for the CR2 and ATR. The raise still isn't adequate but is an improvement.

Besides, I much prefer malted beverages

cfi273-
In terms of the written what do you need to study in the ATP? Please don't tell me you need to know the what and ballance figure questions on the 737 and 727? Is it pretty much regs and wx? Thanks

I have never heard of any regional including the ATP w/b/p problems on their interview quiz. It is normally just knowledge, not calculation problems from the ATP.

The test will cover some basic ATP questions about approaches and when you can and cannot continue if Wx goes below minimums. The rest is mostly Instrument questions. If you are a CFII you will do fine. Just go over the Instrument Oral Exam Guide.

CFI- A few questions for you. Is there any type of hiring pool right now or are people hired straight into training? Are you given the option if you want to go to ATL or LAX or is that assigned? Are ALL new hires going to LAX? What is the word on how long you will be reserve in LAX?

Thanks fo any help you can give me.

All of the new hires will be going to LAX, there is no choice on this one. Once LA fills up and you get the seniority then you can transfer back to ATL. Maybe 3-12 months, not really sure. The pool is no more. They are hiring for class dates. The next class date is on Dec 28 and then Jan 8. There will be 20 guys per class and they seem to be hiring people pretty reguraly.

LAX is actually where I would want to be. What about reserve? 4 months, 6 months? longer?

Thanks again

You should be on reserve for about two months or less. Probably less. It will be a small group out there and I hear that you are reserve for a real short time.
