XJT Dec 18th Class

How long after they say you're hired do you have to start? Is there anyway you get a month or three of time in there or do they just BOOM start you? I have students i'd like to finish up. No reason to leave them hanging. Plus I only have $400 left on credit card and I'm debt free w00t! Tossed the visa down to get the CFII rating and it was a biatch to get rid of.

from what I've seen, there is a max of 2 weeks notice from hire to class, and they usually give you the option of going sooner. When I interviewed on Dec 5th they told us they were hiring for class on the 11th or the 18th ONLY and if those didn't work for you then you could leave before the interviews started. Classes are 5 days a week, weekends off.

As for limitations, I don't see anything in the white binder that tells us the limitations. There is a page of the ones we have to memorize but it is a fill in the blank page. Do we not get the actual answers to these until training when we get the manual? For this reason it appears that flows are the only thing we can start memorizing prior to day 1. If anyone see's something I don't, please let me know

The Flashcards are pretty good- I think they even have a palm version now if you own a PDA... atleast it will give you a headstart on the limitations.
Good luck in training, and I'll see ya on the line!

For all you guys going to training at XJT- yeah, you don't get your manuals until the second day... but if you want a head start on the limitations, check out this website- http://ccsmax.com/xjet.html

IMO the quick responses go to the people who check the "currently employed by a 121/135 carrier" box. I submitted mine a few months ago and got a response the next day. I don't work for XJT---but from my experience at my airline. Study flows/limitations every night, and take it in doses.
One guy in my class put it best.... 121 training at XJT/AWAC/etc. is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Believe in the system----they have thousands of pilots that have successfully completed their training programs because their system works. By the time the checkride/oral comes along--all the pieces will have come together and you'll walk out saying... how the hell did I do that?
Six weeks goes by fast---before you know it you're sitting up front and you hear people boarding behind you, the door shuts, and everything you learned in systems, indoc, sim, profiles, etc. all goes into effect!

You need to reapply on the XJT website. Just use another email address and password this time. They are very backed up there and I did this and got an email for an inerview five days later. I told other guys about this and they had the same luck. I had 1200/200 when I applied. The other guys had lower and they still got an interview.
