Don't know how much I'd read into this. Garton is out as President at Eagle.

when a amr executive shows up at a regional only means a sale or merge within 18 months. Hey, call me foolish but that is the amr method.

Also, Bedford must be feeling the squeeze from the board, Garton is there to replace him also within the next 10 months.

No doubt. Bedford should be in trouble with some of the decisions he's made at Republic. However it could be a case of Garton looking for another job after getting the axe at Eagle. Time will tell.

American eagle in its 25-28 years history has had 4 presidents. the current one who just took over. First was martens, fired from AMR ended up at business express who was bought by American eagle. Martens replacement at eagle was garton. garton got the 16 year contract from the eagle pilots and was moved over to aa being groomed to be number one until 9/11 when aprey was the guy who got the spot light. garton was replaced at eagle by bowler who was replaced by garton who came back to eagle from aa, it was a demotion for ****ing off the Chinese. Now he is out of amr/aag again last time he went to Continental then came back to replace martens at eagle. He now is at RAH. garton always ends up back at the fold unless he can run the show himself at rah then he will be pushing for a merge with a aag owned feeder or consolidate the non mainline owned feeders in to one of three main large regional corporations and dictate to mainline. These same mainlines did the same thing years ago to PAN AM and TWA and forced them out of business.

There were 10 large mainlines now there are 3. Just an opinion

Could happen. I suspect there will be a lot of consolidation in the regional industry just like at mainline. Everybody read the writing on the wall when Anderson was hired at Delta too.

As I said, could be something, could be nothing. Time will tell.
