Skywest Pilots input on base seniority
I'm wondering if you guys could give me a general ranking of the jet bases from most senior to very junior. Also, once in training how soon could you bid out of your assigned base. Thanks in advance guys.
Ex.
LAX
SBA
SFO
PSP
SLC
ORD
Or whatever the rank would be

The most junior on the jet right now is SLC easy, because of all the growth, but Chicago is a close second. However believe it or not, there are quite a few new hires with bids to get into O'Hare they aren't awarding yet.
bases that you can get either right away or very soon after training are (as an F/O):
SLC, ORD, COS, FAT, and DEN (from junior to senior)
The other bases you would have to wait a little while, but nothing is crazy senior as an F/O really, but most of the California bases are super senior on the capt side. SFO and LAX are just reserve bases, so they're really small, and therefor difficult to get into. TUS, PSP, SBA, and SMF are relatively senior.
