SKW trying to swipe pilots from RAH
#21
email I saw was from a Jeremy Atkin who IS on the HR staff here (don't know if there is any relation to Jerry).
Also, The MEsa Airlines in the parking lot at SkyWest Hanger appears to be false. Ihave not seen any evidence to prove this rumors authenticity.

The question of pilot staffing and applicants was brought up several times in the SKYW earnings call this morning, and without offering specific numbers, Chip said we're "good" for 6 or 7 months. He did say that they've budgeted to lose 20 per month to attrition, and that they're having to work a little harder to find quality applicants. So in light of recent news, this idea of trying to "swipe" pilots from RAH, especially the disillusioned junior ones, seems entirely plausible. And from a business power play standpoint, maybe not a bad idea. We'll see if it works.
Also, pretty good earnings call. I thought it was more informative than usual. I think it'd be good listening even if you don't work at SkyWest, just to hear what's going on.

Anyway, there goes that thought.
I'll just continue commuting to a NE outstation so I can not get paid when half of my trip cancels.
