Default SKW trying to swipe pilots from RAH

I personally think it's great. Here's an email that several Republic pilots have received. Guess they're having a hard time as well attracting pilots.

"Hello, The purpose of this email is to touch base with you and see if you would be interested in having an interview with SkyWest Airlines. This email is an exclusive email for Republic and Chautauqua Airlines Pilots only. We are very interested in working with you and are flexible on dates, times and locations on when and where you could do an interview. We are currently attending career fairs all over the country, and would love to me with you there as well.

Also, if you know of any other current Republic or Chautauqua Airlines Pilots that were unable to receive this message, please let them know, and we would gladly meet with them as well.

Here are some points to note: Pay during class: -$22 for both E120 and CRJ pilots with a 70 hour guarantee.

Also: -Recently we have changed our pay rates to have E120 and CRJ FO's be the same amount for the 2nd year of employment.

Thank you so much and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions,"

I'd have to disagree as a few people in my class had more time than that. Have you emailed HR to see if they have received your stuff?

Whoever decided to include that first point of note...

Airlines spend quite a bit of money training people; a place like SKW knows you're out the door the second a better offer comes along (and you DO qualify for better). They may get desperate and call you, but they'll take the person who's going to stay there over a person who is over qualified imho.

Judging by the original, I believe it's a fake.

I have no knowledge if this is a fake letter, or real. A friend told me when he interviewed everyone there, except himself and one other pilot, was currently employed as a flight instructor.

That, to me, indicates they are having a hard time finding applicants with more than just the basic minimum flight times.

I saw an ad on Flight Level Jobs for someone out of Houston offering a $7500 sign on bonus.

These facts suggest to me that the email to the Republic pilots might be real. But that is just my opinion.

One thing is absolutely certain; if you don't apply, you won't be hired.

I'm betting it's fake. Funny, but fake.
