How exactly is there good money to be made by reserve pilots as compared to now?

Loss of 150% above 70.5 hours wasn't addressed...
Loss of the 3 hours of credit for each reserve day wasn't addressed...

and, straight from the Addendum...

"The Company acknowledges that reserve pilots are not eligible to initiate
open time transactions, including the pick-up of open time. However, the
Company may offer open time trips to a reserve pilot who has made
himself or herself available on days off."

So, without the loss of the first two items, a reserve now has to work harder each month to break guarantee, and to make any real money, you have to make yourself available on your days off because you can't initiate an open-time transaction. Then you only get LDO pay "IF" they offer you any open flying.

Sorry, but I'm just not seeing how a reserve can make "good money" under the LOA and subsequent Addendum.

It's not proprunner;

4 on 3 off is the only way to have a family life if you commute. 2 off is terrible.

Notice that the addendum didn't fix the loss of 70.5, 3/day for reserves, and the personal day stuff.

Also we don't have a competitive payscale.

Still Concessionary

No.

End

At least it was a somewhat decent contract before. But with this new LOA and lower than standard pay scale, which says a lot, I don't understand how they think this will attract and retain pilots.

However, that said, I'm always open to more discussion and I won't cast my vote until March 14th.

You have not been on reserve long enough! There's not enough alcohol in the world to keep me sedated on reserve if this passes.

Can anyone confirm that first year pay will increase to $27.15 in May still, and will this mean each subsequent level pay will increase accordingly?
