I didn't say that you live with your mom, most rj pilots live with their mothers, you are an exception, congratulations and best wishes!
BTW, I will not step off and will not keep my mouth shut. Thank you for the suggestion. That was very thoughty of you.
Peace,
PaintCan

And quite frankly i don't see anything wrong with sharing a house with some friends. heck all my friends that graduated college in various fields and moved to the same town, NYC for example, found a 3 or bedroom crib and share it. who the hell is ready to walk away from college life that quickly, i plan on waning myself off it.

I have my own house and two vehicles. No, mom and dad didn't pay for anything, not college, not flight training. I contibute to my 401k and have a an IRA and actually manage to save a little bit as well. That's after taking a 60% paycut almost two years ago.
It has more to do with managing money and not going ape sh1t using credit cards, ect.
I can't tell you how many times I've seen some of my co-workers that have that mentality of "Alright! I'm and airline pilot now! Time to start living like the 777 Captain I think I'm going to be. Gotta buy a new car, get an Ipod, some hair gel, start taking expensive vacations and blowing tons of money on the overnights, whooo hoooo!"

Wow. I was only gone for a week and this is what I miss. HMP I'm a lil' disappointed. I was under the impression your hubby was an RAH pilot...does that mean you need to sleep with one eye open? As an RJ driver myself, I don't feel the need to commit any acts of maternacide (PaintCan, sp?) to get my next job. I do think that RJ's have taken away from mainline routes...but technology has a funny way of adjusting how industries work. Unfortunately, this started as a letter but I couldn't find the mailing address for APC, so I decided to use the internet instead...

Everybody should read the post on DAL hiring in the Majors section., page 2 to be exact. HOTMOMMA Pilot thinks we would slash our mothers throat to fly for DAL, us "RJ drivers" as she called us. Apparantly the low that the industry has come to, is our fault, She seems to forget that the cushy job she got was probably given to her becuase she is a female!!!!!!!!!!!! I love how these people that fly for the "majors" start bashing us just the second they get to move on from that "RJ" job that got them there in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!
