Both actually, depending on the region. FL and ATL are own-brand with codeshares with just about all the major players. IAD and CLE are United codeshare. Everything outside of FL is EAS. All Saabs are in our own colors, the 1900s I believe are still United Express, and only in CLE.

None of it is fee for departure from a major. United has no need for silver to do eas service, the government subsidizes with one of the requirements being that passengers can connect on a major.

I think you nailed it with the phrase: "United has no need for Silver..."

I would jump on with silver if they offered new hires the ability to choose any base that would be available. I was told by a recruiter that bases are by seniority and I understand that fully but he also said new hires are sent north and it could take up to 2 years to see a southern domicile. I live in Orlando, Not only would I sign on with them but I would stay a long time as well.

lol

They have a hard enough time keeping anyone on property....I think someone could hold FLL in 2 months if they wanted to.

You're going to come up north to help the IAD system at first then you can go anywhere as others quit for better pastures.
