The only way to band together is make it clear to management that no regional will work for less than ex amount of dollars and ex work rules. The pilot group is no longer a place for management to cut cost, PERIOD.

You mean, like an union for the regionals?

Like ALPA, doesn't represent their regionals sufficiently?

Except SkyWest that has no union?

For the effort required to throw out ALPA and start a regionals' union or even certify IBT, the regional guys could just as easily elect/reelect like-minded reps, band together with reform-minded mainline guys, and clean house at the next BOD. Moak's term expires this year, you know. ALPA has the organizational structure and resources in place, why start from scratch when you can just take it over? Mind you, regional guys aren't a majority. But regional guys + mainliners who see the need for change at National just might be.

You may have alpa as your union, but clearly they do not represent regional airline pilot interests. If you don't have a seat at the table, you are probably on the menu.

This question was actually recently asked and answered, and the answer from management was "Why would we use Alaska Air Group resources to serve a competitor?"

Horizon is not a threat to anyone in the regional airline industry. I'm not saying that the MEC over here would object to participating, but rather likely wasn't even approached.
Oh, so Skywest flying the ex QX RJ's was kosher? Im just asking because the IBT seems to not be the best set up for any RLA company. I see that the AAG CAN use other regionals to whipsaw the QX folks. Thats the reason I asked avout the OO RJ's....
