If you want to jump ship and go the majors, Skywest isn't a bad move. It's a short time to upgrade. As soon as you have the 1,000 hours of crew time, you can move to the left seat on the EMB-120, if you're willing to stoop that low. (They've tossed a couple of new hires in lately with previous airline time.) Of course, that could all change next week.

It has nothing to do with being in the loop. It has everything to do with the way management blatantly ingnores the contract when it is not convenient for them, how they show no "heart" when it comes to anything that costs the company even one penny extra, even if it will mean a significant plus to the employee. They have taken morale at this company over the last 10 years and shoved it into the gutter, slowly but surely. The only thing that makes life at Horizon enjoyable is the other people that you work with day in and day out on the line.
