Chautauqua to be merged into Shuttle America
 

From CEO Bryan Bedford:

"I met with the leadership team and announced that by the end of the year the Company intends to consolidate the ERJ flying activity currently operated on the Chautauqua airline operating certificate onto our Shuttle America airline operating certificate. Wayne met with the FAA this morning to review the same plan. We understand this decision will spark a great deal of emotion for some of you and appreciate the pride you take in being associated with each of our airline operating certificates. Although change can be difficult, I am confident this change will be a positive move for our airline."

I thought all CHQ ERJ flying was going away?

It is. They are going to spend a ton of money merging the 145s into shuttle just to park them months later. Makes perfect sense.

Don't worry, I am sure they will award themselves multi million dollar bonuses for the merger just to take some money off the table so it won't be able to be used for a contract.

As long as they keep Chi-taco-wa as their call sign.

Yeah but it will save them a ton of money by merging operations and eliminating the duplication required in multiple certificate operations.
