Default Captain charged pilots to ride in the JS

My friend was deadheading out of IAD, and said there were 3 non revs trying to ride on a full plane. Word is one guy, who showed up 15 mins prior to push, snuck the captain $100, bumping the FIRST one to show up.

In my opinion allegedly accepting money is different than charging.

probably grounds for termination. While the CA has the final say who goes, the company OWNS that seat. Any revenue/bribe would have to go to them.

Careful, some guys believe the CAPTAIN owns the seat.

I am one of the last people to stick up for the company, but if you screw someone else who is following the rules by not following the rules - especially another pilot, then yeah... hope he gets a smacking.

Can't be true, pilots are too cheap. No way a pilot is going to pay $100 to sit on a JS!

No where here does it say what airline, though we can assume. Seniority anyone? Non-company JS'r? Too many variables here. NEXT!!
