Even if you look at Mgmnt here at SKW, they aren't the highest paid. BUT they, unlike they’re labor groups, are below industry average. Jerry could pay himself more, after all he deserves it, but he is modest and want's his company to succeed. Unlike J.O.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Jerry cheerleader, I just give credit where credit is due.
Dude, seriously...
I have read your posts since way before I joined this board. You are the biggest cheerleader of any company I have ever seen. ****, you prob have a pic of Jerry in your wallet. That's cool. I'm glad you love your company and it's leader.

I'm glad everyone else in this board thinks they know what is going on at ASA... At least you guys think you know... Just because you know a guy that dates a flight att. that has a roommate that used to screw an ASA guy does not make you guys experts on our contract. Everyone seems to think all we want is a fat paycheck... Well, yes we do but that's not all. It seems other airlines have set the bar low. So, yes kiss the fat paycheck away. You guys bash our pay rates for FO's now. Well, no **** it sucks!!! We try to raise it and we get bashed for that... WTF? Should you not want us to raise the bar for the rest of you??? Brain washed by quality of life??? Crazy. That doesn't pay my rent. I don't have a daddy at Delta paying my bills. We have to make a contract that will last the next 4-5yrs plus 4-5yrs of negotiations as history shows. Way back when I was getting 19/hr I was doing ok. **** was cheaper...rent...gas..food...strippers...etc. Not now. So, yea we need money now plus quality of life. Not one or the other.
The "stole" was a joke... Notice I didn't focus on it and spend six lines on talking about it.
The "sorry guys" was for our Comair friends. It sucks I know.

This isn't my first job like most of you. I had to do a lot of ****ty jobs before I got here. I worked for my job and didn't buy it from some academy. So, I have a unique view of my job and how much compensation I deserve. Most of you went from 172 to jet. So yes 19-22/hr rules. When you have been here for years and you have a family that pay rate sucks...when your 9-5er friends make twice what you do for 1/2 the work...that sucks.

I know that because of your contract negotiations not going the way you like, you guys will naturally villianize Jerry Atkin, Ron Reber and whole crew at the top of SkyWest. But you WILL be better off in the end. Will you suddenly be making the kind of money we ALL should be making. No absolutely not, and that sucks, but that's the nature of the beast at the moment. I will have to go to mainline in order to be paid what I think we all deserve. But you could be negotiating with the likes of Jerry Orstein or Hulas Konodia (sp?) so it could be a whole lot worse. You are way more likely to get something decent from JA than just about anyone else. So yes your contract is taking too long, and from what I understand it has more to do with your own ASA management and little to do with SkyWest INC. I believe it's more or less JA's in active involvement that your upset about. But put your swords away, give it time, SkyWest hasn't been in charge there very long, and I think you'll be happIER than you were before with Delta in charge. Think of it like this, Delta still runs Comair, and I don't think things are going well over there.

Btw, in reference to a few posts ago about Frontier/Republic, I haven't actually been able to find that press release, anybody know where it is?

Don't forget ALL the bro flying out of Slc is at-risk too.

If you are referring to the Q400's with Lynx it's common knowledge. I don't know where the press release about republic is, but I remember reading the article.

No I was definetily referring to the republic/frontier announcement. I just noticed that it isn't listed on either Frontier's page or Republic's page here on APC. So I was curious about where I could find the release.

edited to add: There's no press release on the official Republic Airways website either.

There were some excited Republic pilots that posted their companies new bid sheet opening up Denver for EMB-170 CA's and FO's. I think it was 17 aircraft. It's all internal, or was supposed to be, for now.

Oh I see, by "at risk" you mean EAS. I wouldn't consider that "at risk", but that's just me. Mesa, Colgan, and Region's Air do the same thing.

JerryAid, sure, I bulk bought a skid at Costco.

I have two business degrees and 5 years of experience with Sherwin-Williams as a sales rep. I understand how hard it is to succeed with the level of success that JA as acquired. I give him his props and I expect the future to be bright for both ASA and SKW.

As for JetJock, I've got 37 hours in an L-39. I know that’s not much but you’re definitely a “Jet Jock” when you’re in one, at least more so then in an RJ.
