Default Would you recommend being a Pilot?

Knowing what you know now... would you recommend being a Pilot to your family members or friends looking for a new Career? Would you recommend becoming a "Pilot" as a career choice for your son or daughter?

I place this in the Regional section of this forum due to the fact that.... if you were to recommend such a life to those you love.... how would they react after reading your posts?

Personally, I would never recommend a career as a Pilot to anyone I know... I tell them to learn computers... and then buy your own airplane if you wish to fly...

No, I would not. Not a chance.

If someone is already in too deep, I will give advice... but I will never recommend that someone begin down a career path as a pilot.

Yes but it's not for everybody and only if it works with your personality type. It beats the m-f weekly desk grind hands down in my opinion. If you're married to a particular city or think you will get rich quick then I wouldn't recommend it.

Yes, but you have to want it more than you want your next breath. The key is being able to get into the airlines with no debt. It'll still be hard, but nowhere near as bad as it will be if you come in saddled with loan payments. If financing is the only option...I'd probably say you need to at least consider another career....and it breaks my heart to have say that, because I love this career.

lol.... would you go into debt if it meant to take your next breath?

In other words... if you were on your last breath... and I told you that I could give you your next breath... but you would owe me 10 grand... would you do it? Or would you die....?
