Default DAL/CAL jumpseat intl

Guys,

Anyone knows of jumpseat policy for DAL/CAL flights internationally? (for us rgnl pilots)

What's the policy, how does it work... is it working?

I recall some problem with CAL and CASS.... no pic available in sys, is this still a problem or is this an old story...?

Thx

Last time I rode DAL to Europe, it was the same as their domestic. If they got an agreement with your company, good to go. Just remember, regradless of CASS, no riding up front if it fills up. Not even on the way out of the US.

CAL has a domestic reciprocal list and an international reciprocal list, like American. If your company is not on the int'l list, NO INT'L JS FOR YOU!!!!!!

I guess it all depends on the ticket agent. My XJT BF got a hell of a hard time to jumpseat on DAL from Montreal. They didn't know the rules, told him he had to call CAL and be listed on their jumpseat 24 hours prior departure, of course CAL couldn't list him on delta, it was a huge mess. Finally, after being so persitent and having another agent sort of hearing the conversation, did they go back to their computer to read the rules. She got him on in the back but still states he needed to be listed 24 hours prior, who knows how he would do that. What made it easy was me ( a platinum delta member) pushing the case along and asking them questions in montreal 3 days prior departure ( they seem to care more about frequent flyers than pilots). I would say it took about 3 hours total to figure out with them at the airport. Apparently after dealing with us, they now posted a memo for others agents.

I guess my point is that half of them don't know the rule.. I also had asked the rule at CVG and they had told me the same thing about getting listed. The thing is (correct me if I am wrong) is that comair pilots have to be listed 24 hours prior themselves (this was comair actually) so they get confused.
