like i said,, mesaba doesn't need people to be checked out in rj,, they did that a long time ago when there were going to being flying them.
Ahhh...we just sent two Saab instructors up to Montreal to be typed in the CRJ. They must be going to work for Pinnacle. Who knew!

NWA still has slightly over 600 on furlough. I imagine somewhere in the neighborhood of 10% would accept placement at Compass for the time being.

Sorry, sorry. We sent one Saab instructor and one flight manager.

not sure where this is coming from... old numbers i guess, my cousin who is a captain there said all notices have been sent out,, now granted maybe not everyone has accepted. I think they have 60 days to decide, or something like that.

As for your guys going to get checked out in montreal, unless you know the person that went there i have my doubts. Just like people around here (Pinnacle) have said our guys have gone to get checked out in the 175.... believe it when i see it. i just see that being the fall out once northwest buys you guys. Buy you, build you up with the 175, then sell you to the highest bidder.... haven't seen that before.

Those numbers came from NWA MEC Hotline dated 1-9-2007

"*** This marks the end of today's Hotline. Until next time, fly safe, fly the contract and remember that about 600 Northwest pilots are on furlough. ***"

I do know the Saab instructor personally. However, I have not spoken to him myself. I cannot vouch for the flight manager that is supposedly up there with him.

You are right though, until the airplane is on the ramp and I am sitting in the seat, it is all rumor.

Small world! Are your son's initials DM or DW?

yeah, i guess what i am saying is there may still be people out, but i believe everyone has received a letter saying to come on back. i flew with a captain a month ago and had received the letter but said not yet, didn't want to get furloughed again., funny thing is he hadn't even finished oe before the furlough.

Everyone I know that went to Montreal for training had an outstanding time! I wish your son the best. The day to day people here at Mesaba make the job great. Our management has taken a turn for the worse, thankfully we don't see them everyday. ;)
