The intention all along was to bring Envoy down to about half its size. This should do it. Pilots are bailing faster then planned, so they've had to scramble.

Endeavor's attrition could spike too with this announcement thus cancelling our half way decent news...some people here are hell bent to chase the quick upgrade. The whipsaw will continue I fear.

I may be way wrong on this, but I see this as a harbinger of good things to come for Envoy. Why? Here's why.

As AAG assigns 175s to Compass and Republic, and as they shed 145s to TSA, Piedmont, and another regional to be named later, (SKW??),.......they're running out of regionals to fly the remaining 175s.

TSA will barely be able to staff the 145s they're getting, so there's no way they'll be in the running for 175s. And they won't be able to shift guys over from Compass. Air Willy just announced their agreement to take-on a bunch of 200s for Delta, so they're not gonna be in any position to consider the remaining 175s. SkyWest is in a similar boat and PSA obviously has their hands full getting ready for 20(+/-) more 900s and 49 more 700s. Who's left? Lakes? Silver? Commutair?

AAG just strengthened Envoy's hand! They're quickly running out of places to put the rest of the 175s,......plus all of the options. Parker's hand is about played-out.

Explain how skw is in a similar boat? Were getting 12 200s and parking 40 turboprops.... Staffing is nowhere near as big a issue here as other places. Especially not in the future seeing as there is nothing moving here but the 175s from united and the 200s from delta. We could absorb 30 aircraft easily.

I'm not saying I don't wish you guys all the best and hope you do get what's coming, but I just wanted to point out skw is not like PSA or whiskey with our staffing.

Compass is actively bidding on 20 more of the AA E175s. I know SKW is gunning for the 40 E175s too, and I think they could staff them all over a timeline without fail. I wouldnt get to comfy thinking "nobody can staff them", its just a poor coping mechanism.

So they can't attract pilots to fly these planes, according to the eagle union, but magically management expects to find pilots by switching flying to a different carrier?
