Not that big of a deal. They're testing different ANR headsets to certify them, but they have to make sure they are usable with passive and active noise canceling. Just another rumor everyone will shoot down until the memo comes out though.

Doubtful. FAA doesn't make lists like that or "prohibit more than one carry-on and one personal item". What the FAA does is approve something that the operator has researched/tested/proven. Most likely what is happening is the carrier is putting together a list by contacting the headset manufacturer and aircraft manufacturer or using engineers that can verify the standards and that the equipment meets the requirements. Then they take all that data to the FAA, who reviews and approves the list or sends it back until sufficient.

Umm no!.. You obviously don't know the STL FSDO.. It is required "by part number" per STL FSDO that we can only use 2 types of David clark headsets.

You mean to tell me, with over 1,000 airframes in the ERJ family, each operator had to submit, testing, electro-magnetic interference data.. Blah blah..

It's obvious that our current 29 aircraft fleet is being protected by use of the David Clark headset!!

The other 970 plus aircraft in operation are in extreme danger!

That. AND all the others aren't held together by even half the amount of speed tape as TSA airplanes

So let me see if I understand the CQFO situation: you will fly from the left seat but only be paid 43 bucks an hour? Is that correct? If so, that is horrible!

I don't know how many times this needs to be said for the question to not be asked. When in the left seat the pay comes out to about $62/Hour, when in the right seat it is the blended rate which is somewhere between $43-44/Hour.

PM me dude and I will give you my number and you can ask all the questions you have. It really is a sweet opportunity. Don't know why some are so gun shy.

When Comair went under those that came here quick upgraded quick and got good seniority. Those who dragged their feet had to wait much longer to upgrade.

If I was low on the list at Envoy or XJT or Skywest I would be running here. 8 year plus upgrades stink.
