Stop it with this bull**** already! Skywest or Horizon pilots are no more qualified or are in no way/shape/form better pilots than Mesa/PSA/XJT/Eagle/Lakes/etc.

Skywest and Horizon are still a couple of turds in the regional toilet bowl.

Ok, that takes care of Alaska. Still leaves Spirit, VA, FedEx, UPS, Frontier, Atlas, Hawaiian...

Correct. The majority of QX's attrition has been people going to Alaska. As well as some to Spirit, Frontier, United, Allegiant, Delta, and I think one guy went to UPS.

You completely misunderstood. No one is suggesting that Horizon pilots are more qualified, only that the overall compensation offered by QX means that people are less motivated to make a move to the bottom of another regional than they might be if they worked for a regional with a lesser compensation package and/or bleaker outlook. The numbers bear this out. We lose 10-15 per month on average, while according to this thread ExpressJet lost 83 and Endeavor 62 so far. It's not that those people are lesser pilots, only that their company has provided them with significant increased motivation to leave.

I'm guessing the fact that XJT is 8 times the size of horizon might have something to do with that. Endeavor's size also plays a part. It's not a simple 62 vs 10-15.
