TSA 518 as of July 1st. Looks like about 20-25 new hires a month. Upgrade could go to a Nov 2014 hire for next month. Then CQFOs will start upgrading as well as traditional FOs who are starting to meet time requirements.

2150 was the latest. 1884 active line guys.

It's currently 1200 for PSA and growing 20-30 net pilots per month (based on ~50 new hires and ~20 leaving).

Why does PSA need all those pilots when hardly anyone works? Every time I go to the CLT crew room (including yesterday) every seat is taken with more piling off the elevator. It is no wonder the other express carriers are having to fly your hours.

Considering that about 25% of the data is missing, I don't see how any conclusions can be made yet. The results will be the results one way or another, and at the end of the year I'll ask for more data to see if the trend is up or down.

When you operate 70 airplanes in and out of one airport, you're going to have a lot of pilots frequenting the same crew room. It's also no secret, Air Wisconsin is flying more block hours per airframe than PSA right now. PSA is expanding rapidly, Air Wisconsin is stagnant and can handle the extra hours per airframe.

It's been like this long before they went on their "expansion" of airframes and pilots.

PSA bit off more than they can chew with the 900 orders. They will delay deliveries or only take half. Their training dept can't move fast enough. No way they can handle 2/month

Your Intel is a couple months old. The training backlog is almost gone. It was a major issue, changes were made and things have improved. I'd rather be at regional experiencing growing pains than a regional shrinking their fleet.

My count has it much less now. It's a mess. You can bet on a $15,000 sign-on bonus soon.

Funny thing is how the numbers work out, a 5 year first officer makes $37.70 per hour or about $34,000 a year. A first year FO makes$24.78 an hour coming out to about $22000 plus the 15,000 bonus will give him $37,000 for the year. The new guy makes $3000 a year more than the 5 year guy. The smart thing is to quit each time you get the bonus (if you ever get it) and then start again. Once you get the hours to upgrade you can start as a new hire captain anyway. By then they will probably be giving 30k bonuses to those with captain hours.

We never claimed to be the best negotiators here at Gojet. Once thing you can count on as a new hire at Gojet is that you know exactly what your pay rate will be when you upgrade in 5 years, exactly what the contract says today. Unless of course we accept a concessionary contract in exchange for new shinny jets!

Anyway, come for the laughs, you won't believe what goes on here! That 510 number I think is now a goal that we will have for a long time. I know several guys who are leaving and 2 guys who are leaving shortly but don't know it yet!

There are maybe one or two classes left that were at the tail end of what I'll call the "training bubble". Most of that has ended and much of the negativity you see posted about PSA comes from those with a clear agenda to spread misinformation.

Yeah the misinformation I spread came from one of my best friends who has been waiting almost 2 months for his oral. It's far more than "two classes" hahahah
