Look at that stack of logbooks they are holding hostage, just like passports in Dubai.

Ha, I suppose that does make a difference, but the point stands. Anywhere that's petty enough to throw you out for having facial hair in ground school is not someplace I'd want to work anyways.

Again..he's probably a dispatcher. They usually sit in the front row and go through pilot indoc.

What about the two dispatchers that sat in the back row in my class?

Bearded gentelman is indeed a new dispatcher, did not know about the facial hair standards of pilots and infact did shave before the second day to fit in even though it was not required. Lady in front is intelligent, personable, and has years of prior experience at another 121. Would be a great addition to any flight crew.

Gangsign is unexplained, previous expressjet. Older gentlement are former comair, ATA, military, and career changers. Some of them are here to become instructors.

My takeaway would be this is a cross section of the regional industry; young cfis, older pilits whos careers have been derailed by failed companies, and perhaps one who slipped through the cracks and might become the %5 that no one wants to fly with if he makes it through training.

Reading this thread reconfirms my belief that there are a lot of morons posting the same crap a 12 year old would post. Are you neophytes this idiotic naturally or do you have to work at it. The new hires over the last 12 months have been from other CRJ operators, Military, Corporate, Charter or Flight Instructors. Total flight time anywhere from as low as 1000 hours from a four year university program to 20,000 plus hour 121 pilots, early twenties to late fifties, at least 75 Comair pilots, more and more Endeavor and now Envoy pilots are showing up. “Scraping the bottom of the barrel”? I don’t think so. So why don’t you grow up and act like the professional aviators you profess to be.
