Might as well be. Life with no hope of parole.

One thing that worries me about going to the airlines is how sensitive everyone is about everything. Sounds like ZERO fun to be had. Even light humor is not funny to you guys.

I might just stay where I am at instead of working for peanuts and a stiff work environment.

We're a bunch of wusses face-to-face. "Oh hey, how ya doin'" sort of thing. Friendly sort really.

In my experience nearly all airline pilots are somewhat disollusioned. Something in their experience has taught them "this is the way things are supposed to be" but rarely ever do they work that way. I'm not sure where new pilots get this sense of the way things should be. Maybe from TV or movies or knowing how other pilots at big brother airline have it.

It's what happens when the kool-aid dispenser runs dry.

Best job ever...on the beach, getting paid. I don't think fun can adequately describe what I do.
