Years ago, a now retired colleague of mine interviewed at NWA, when, I believe, he was in his 40's.
Somehow, some way, he got hold of a copy of his processed application, and on it was either stamped or written, "Too Old".
He successfully sued, and was offered a job at NWA, which he then declined to stay with another carrier.
The point is, airlines, like all companies, are very wary about subjecting themselves to any kind of discrimination lawsuits these days.
On another note, AW&ST is running sister stories this week about pilots shortages both at the US regional airlines, and especially in Asia.
I'd say you're in pretty good shape.
Best of luck!
