Default Do regionals hire pilots over 40?

Just windering if I should expect rejection from the airlines hiring right know because of age. Had anyone experience this before?

Doubtful. Especially at the regionals. I got hired with 2 guys well into their 40s and lately I have flown with several newish FOs who were over 40.

I would even suggest that the regionals would love someone over 40 because they think there is less chance of you leaving for American or United and staffing in the next couple of years is going to be a tough proposition for most regionals out there.

Yes....and some more aggressively than others. My $.02: if you're considering, act sooner rather than later (seniority is everything in this business). Also, "they" are looking to fill classes and seats----age is far from a deal-breaker. Hope this helps.

Guys near/over 60 hired in and around my class. And they both moved on to airlines I'd love to work for after a few months!

LOL No. Have heard and seen many who are retired from other jobs in their late 50s and early 60s getting hired by regionals...
