Comair mins increase...

Mins are now 1200/200, or is it? I was looking forward to apply.

The web site still indicates 600/100. Seems odd they would increase minimums if all the regionals are hurting for pilots.

Weird...APC page indicates 600/100, and Comair site is the same. But if you go to the APC page and click on the link, it takes you too a page that has airlineapps in the web address, and there it indicates 1200/200. I would guess they probably haven't updated that part yet.

PS The actual Comair site still has the hours listed in bold so that would seem pretty official.

AHHH MAANNNN,, you mean you still need some experience at just flying an airplane... i cant just get my commercial certificate and go straight to the jet. I have to instruct (and learn), and then get a job flying mail around in a baron?? OMG THE WORLD IS ENDING.. i thought i could just get my certificate and go straight to the plane.. of course i knew i would have to rent a cessna and fly it around a while so when i went to upgrade I would have the PIC i need to qualify,,but hey that is being deffered too!!!! YIPPPEEEE,, LOWER TIMES,, LOWER STANDARDS,, AND NOW THEY WANT TO RAISE IT TO SOMETHING RESPECTABLE!!!! HOW DARE THEY!!!

sadly the first time you are really even PIC (no instructor on board, not day vfr, and more than the measly 50 miles you have been flying to count as cross country) there will be people in the back of the plane depending on you.

It seems like the lower mins are really bothering you, perhaps old memories? I‘m sorry that times have changed and airlines are lowering their mins for now.
FYI, new mins(if true) only set me back about 3 months. Not so shabby!

no not really. I instructed for about 1200 hours and flew mail for about 6 months. I just like to laugh at people who have to go rent a 152 just so they can get PIC,,, hahahahahahahaha.... ohh. its actually kinda scary.
