This is not Skywest-ASA. Skywest had no union and as such no scope protection. That deal is being used to break down the union at ASA. In this case 9E has scope protection and management must fight to break it. Their weapons in the fight are the backs of the Colgan guys and gals.

Thats the point, colgan doesnt have a union either

I have even heard it said that pinnacle pilots now own all of the colgan flying and routes.
The question is, can Pinnacle CORP bid on new flying under Colgan name without violating that scope? And an even bigger question, when they DO bid for flying under Colgan, will PCL's ALPA have more balls and do something about it, or will they do nothing like TSA? One company, one union, problem solved. |

Well, the FAQ they published to us very specifically says the each companies' routes still belong to that company and that one won't be flying the other's routes.

(I love that word). |
