Colgan Air/Pinnacle AKA Go Jets/TSA
Any one else see a similar situation developing between pinnacle and colgan! I just dont see why else an RJ carrier would want to buy a turbo prop regional who is non unionised and known for low/poor pay.
Any thoughts |
dont even try to compare colgan pilots to gojet pilots. go jet pilots went to work for a new company KNOWING that they were hurting tsa pilots. Colgan pilots have no say in this, and neither do the PCL pilots. This is all skywest/asa. And look at the payscales, they aren't that far apart for flying 2 different types of planes and routes.

I would not compare Colgan pilots to BlowJet pilots at all. However, things could get interesting should PCL start moving RJ's over to Colgan. I'd be curious to see how the two pilot groups react. Somehow though I don't see a RJ flying from SYR to ROC...but stranger things have happened. I'm a firm believer that one company means one union with one contract and one seniority list (i.e. Shupublicqua). An ideal world would have PCL pull Colgan into their Union and on to their seniority list...but i can see both sides being kind of bitter about mergering seniority's. But considering this all got announced 20 minutes ago and I have nothing to do with either company...I'm pretty much just talking out of my @ss. Sorry to waste most of your time :D (I'm bored).

So what's it take to get union cards to pass around at Colgan? ;) |

AMEN! The most dissappointing thing to me about the announcement is that they don't plan on merging the seniority. I strongly feel if we're going to be owned by the same company, we need to have one seniority list, one union, one pay chart, etc, in order to avoid the ASA/Skywest Blojet/TSA play one against the other BS that is likely to otherwise happen.
