I've said it once I'll say it again. If you want to CFI pack your shyt up and move to Pueblo Colorado and work for the airforce there. I'm on my last 10 students because they are consolidating everything there. Horrible location but they are doing it none the less.

Could you clarify that please. Do you work for an aero club or something? Thats something Ihave been interested in. Which one do you work for and whats the pluses of it?

Yeap...You'll get a ton of hours and be with motivated / smart students that have no language problems. I suspect most are already commissioned 2n Lt at that point.

I plan on looking into it when I'm at the CFI stage...

Who has the contract? ERAU?

What aero club is in Pueblo Colorado? Youarent talking about the USAFA are you? thats in Colorado Springs

USAFA - C Springs.

I believe the AF is building a facility or leasing one in Pueblo for IFT (intro flight training / screening) before sending Lts to UPT.

In the past you could get training at local FBO. It is now being consolidated. Can't imagine why.

Well, I knew that ERAU was conducting IFT at the Academy but I wasnt aware of Pueblo, CO

Work at ERAU if you can as a CFI...Get your Masters degree for free. ERAU does offer some very good benefits while you are employed as a CFI...
