Think, McFly, think (you, too, Ray):

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of expression, or of the press; or of the right of the people to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for the redress of grievances."

Ray is correct. The Bill of Rights protects the citizens of the United States of America from the government. Not an employer.

RAH can fire employees for "speaking their mind" the government can not imprison it's citizens for doing so.

No. Apparently they laughed a little bit about it but told him to tone it down publicly.

So, what's their excuse for doing it? I guess we're not protected after all.

I'm sure it's buried in the terms of service. Yammer is company operated; freedom of speech does not apply.

If there company sucks arse then it helps other people know to stay away. However doing it with your Real Name is yes "f'ing stupid'.

That being said if you ran a good company you wouldn't be worried what anyone said would you?? If the shoe fits.

It only takes one post or tweet taken out of context to thrust even a great company onto the national spotlight.

There isn't a company in the world where EVERY employee is happy. There will always be issues and gripes. That has nothing at all to do with being an idiot and shooting yourself in the foot. People need to take responsibility for their ridiculously childish actions and grow up.
