PDT Flow Question

Hey Everyone,

Im sure this answer is somewhere in the mountains of the PDT thread. What are the qualifications for the flow to American? Must you have a 4 year degree? I seen the 1 year as FO 1 year as CA but nothing else.

Any insight?

You need to be an employee in good standing. And have been in your position a year. That's about it.

Thats not bad, you work there?

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but the pdt ads plastered all over this site are using best case scenario projections to get to those flow numbers.

On the other pdt thread...I said 5-7 years is a good estimate...3 is little unrealistic for someone being hired today.

The people that get hired over then next 8 months will totally benefit. Then once the flow picks up to 6 a month they could flow in that time period, however it will then slowly increase for sure.

What makes the flow nice is that I was a very junior Captain for a long time and now before I flow I've been enjoying a great QOL of bidding much higher due to the senior folks flowing. Good time for me right now before I go. So just don't look at the flow for benefits it's goes further then that.

Training can't handle the flow to go up quickly. All the ads are based on getting more people on property to increase flow numbers. There's no way 1 dash 8 sim and 1 e-145 sim can handle an airline to double in size in a year. People here for 7-8 years are still looking at over 2 years to flow.
