Gross. You can't really compare net income as guys with families/houses will pay much less in taxes. There are also several states without income tax.

Don't include per diem. Typically your gross pay is your hourly rate times 1000. So, $35/hr is about 35k per year. Obviously you can make more or less depending on how much you fly. At TSA, 2nd year pay was $35 and I never credited less than 100 hours a month. Per diem is usually about $500 tax free on top.

First full year at ASA/XJT was 25k. Second was 33k. Did not include per diem, and I had a non-aviation second job that paid better than my FO job, so I tried to stay near minimum guarantee every month.

All 5 yrs as a FO. Or you can go to Mesa, PSA, Compass, upgrade in 1-2 years and then make more than the quoted amount and get to a major quicker. I know a July '07 DOH at 9E and he is still a FO. That's all that needs to be said about Endeavor.

When mentioning your wages you should also mention if you were just making your MMG or if you were always clearing that threshold. That can have a HUGE impact on your W2

Horizon:

First year: 37
Second: 48
Third: 55
Fourth: I can let you know at the end of the year, but it will include about 4 months of Captain pay.

These numbers are gross, and include per diem. Per diem was probably 3-4k per year.

Never got a signing bonus. These kids these days don't know how good they got it!

If you don't mind saying, who was this for and how long ago?
