There's an easy solution. Two A319's a day instead of three RJ's.

One A320 a day instead of three RJ's. Even better.

These airlines will lose out to the one which provides frequency. Rare vacation travelers and religious pilgrims probably don't care what day of the week the flight operates, much less what time of day. Everybody else in the US cares about frequency. Pax will pay more for it, likely $100 more.

I feel for the victims and families. But why does the legislation have to stick? Frankly I hope they don't change it because it will make us more expensive later on... Or now. But legislation and regional bashing? Makes no sense. I mean, no legislation was even considered when an AA first officer killed 265 people by snapping his own rudder off.
