Jepp binders for Skywest

How many binders do I need at Skywest? I'm getting some from my school and was wondering if I needed more than 3.
Also i'd like to get my hands on some charts from Skywest just to study before interviewing again. Anyone know where I can get them?

If in the jet about 6 inches worth. I use two 2" binders for the airports (there at just about max capacity), another 1 inch for the HI and LO charts, and place all the rest of the intro, chart notam, etc in with the company manual .

Does SkyWest pay for your initial jepps?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a 121 carrier that doesn't pay for Jepps, or at least give you an allowance for them.

that of course is very recent, a year ago you paid for your own jepps

Yep, until very recently you could plan on spending $400-$700 on the first day of class for Jepps, Binders, Uniforms, etc. Seems like they are providing alot more to the newhires as it has been harder to fill classes.

Its funny, in the info packet they send, it still list all of the items I am required to buy. Binders, initial jepps, uniform..

So 6 inches of binders should cover the CRJ?

That and they are trying to keep alpa out. If you really think about it, who in their right mind would go to a company and pay to start working? You are right, my bud who started a year and a half ago spent 620 bucks just to start working at skywest, what was a bit of a shocker for him, I told him he was crazy!! Of course thats how everyone did it back in the day. you would pay for your initial training. like at ASA i believe it was 8000 bucks back in the early 90's for the bandit. i am glad those days are gone.
