The Men's Wearhouse is a great place to start out when searching for the typical interview look:

Good luck! I second the need for matching socks!

White socks might work if you wanna work for David Letterman.

ya know, i didn't even think of this. I got a buddy an interview w/ my company and he asked "should i wear my CFI shirt out there, cause it'll show that i'm professional." then i remember telling him, that almost everyone there was a CFI once, so it's not really going to impress anyone. lol. Honestly, they might tell the person that they look like a CFI, and should continue to be one.

I will admit, I did not wear a suit to my last airline interview. I wore a pair of gray dress pants, a white shirt, a blue tie, and a blue blazer. Once I got into the interview room, I took the blazer off and never put it back on. I also wore blue socks and black shoes. I got the job.

I have to admit that I myself think that for one to even ask that question states something on the side of laziness. At all job interviews on the professional level, you dress to impress. You don't even ask what to wear if it's going to be in a professional office level environment. I'm not judging at all, but definitely YES, wear a suit and just be professional. Be conservative because most of the people conducting the interview are actually a little older and / or retired airline employees. You want to appeal to them specifically.

This is different, but last time I interviewed at a major airline for a ramp position I found the people who showed up in a suit and tie kind of amusing.
Who knows, maybe they got hired and immediately promoted. I thought they looked kind of silly.

I was just thinking the same thing. This profession has dropped to the point that pilots no longer can even use proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation. The 8 question marks make it more legitimate, though, I'd have to agree.

Another ironic post brought to you by SAAB.

I'll say it again...I think he must have been told specifically by the company not to wear a suit to the interview or something...am I right StangPlane?
I don't think anyone out there really needs someone to clarify whether or not to wear a suit, I bet ASA sent something about the interview and asked him to wear business casual or something.
No way do you get to an airline interview and really not know to wear a suit.
