I interviewed at Trans States not too long ago and every interviewee had a suit. It would suck if you were the only one not wearing a suit! "One of these interviewee's is not like the others...."

Well the rule of thumb I was once told.... Standard interview uniform: Navy blue suit, black shoes and belt with gold buckle, white shirt and a red tie..... has always worked well for me.

If you don't know whether or not to wear a suit to an airline interview. . .you probably shouldn't go in the first place.

Its always better to overdress than to under. I interviewed with ASA not to long ago and weared a grey suit, black shoes, and red tie. I have a buddy who was a senior captain with them and that is what he specifically stated to wear. The other guys in my group were wearing suits but were wearing pink and lime green shirts and ties? I dont know how that worked out for them but the secretary like it

i'd agree to wear the suit, if you seem overdressed or "uptight" in it, i'd rather have mgt. tell me to take off the jacket and lose the tie, than to not have worn it in the first place.

Once you get the suit down...DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE SHOES! You need a nicely shined shoe and matching socks to wrap up the look.

I hate to say this but he's right. skills are easy to come by but attitude is not. I'd take attitude over skills any day. Skills you can teach...
