Well if you are commuting out of ATL and are a pilot for Endeavor you are the #2 priority on all Delta mainline flights for the jumpseat...that is a huge perk especially when you are trying to go in and out of hubs. As long as a delta pilot is not listed for the jumpseat you get first dibs!! This has helped me when I was doing the LGA-DTW commute. You just show up and **** off everyone that isn't a Delta pilot! ;)

But that would be mean! :D Of course I guess whatever it takes to stay out of the CPs office..

Commuting ATL-DTW is horrible. I did it for a couple of years. I've easily been 150 on the standby list. While being #2 in line for the jumpseat is great, it means nothing when every jumpseat is taken by a Delta guy. I would never ever recommend the ATL-DTW commute. I have heard the ATL-LGA commute isn't horrible.

Any insight into ATL-PIT or ATL-EWR?

BobJenkins 12-20-2015 05:26 AM

While we're asking, what about ATL-IAH or ATL-DFW?

And while we're asking, what's wrong with ExpressJet? Living in base is much better than commuting, even if sitting reserve in base.

I don't think anyone here said anything negative about Xjet, at least not that I saw. Living in base certainly seems to be the best option, no matter which company employs you. But sitting in one base may not be as desirable as flying out of another base for some people. Hours mean advancement, sitting on reserve means current pay.
