In the hiring environment of 2016, it's not worth paying to go talk to Frontier or Spirit.

I think the OP is looking to sell his ticket. I didn't read anything looking to solicit career advise.

Not sure if OP knows but you can't transfer frontier/spirit tickets past the 9th. They're tied to your name now.

Depends who you ask... If I was stuck at a regional, and my apps was out to every LCC/Major, with no calls. Then I would do it. We spend a large amount of money for our education, an extra $100 is a small price to pay to help my chances to move up in my career.

I would suggest that something like WAI or OBAP are far more fun and more useful because they are more like a convention where you have a greater chance to enjoy yourself, break the ice and interact with a recruiter in a meaningful way. At these one-day cattle calls you mainly just stand around and awkwardly swap small talk and business cards with a bunch of guys who all look the same as you until you get your 5-10 minutes of face time with a recruiter.

I don't condone the idea...but if you DO call in sick, for the love of GAWD, do NOT jumpseat or non-rev to the job fair!
Do some pilots actually have business cards? Is it just for job fairs, like an expected item to bring on top of resumes?

Listen naysayers. Regardless of your opinion, the facts are people who go to job fairs get hired at Spirit and Frontier period. If you want to go to one of these airlines then go to the job fair. Call in sick. But fly a different airline other than your own to get there. The advice on this website is obscene, some of you are morons.

The way you feel about something is irrelevant, all the matters is the facts here.

Well I guess I'm not going to be able to sell it for half the price, I don't want the ticket to be a wast so if someone would like to go just pm and and I'll have it change and email the info
If any body wants it and is for sure that can attend

I would not hesitate to make a career at Spirit with their current contract. I am so glad most of you are looking beyond Spirit.
