What is the point of having a union if we can't strike? This is bull****. I'm betting mainline Delta management is loving this. Now they actually have a reason to expand Comair...cheap labor. No wonder they plan on hiring 60 pilots a year for the rest of the year...

Folks, coming from a current comair guy and experience from two other airlines, if you plan on coming here...DON"T! Go elsewhere....MANY options right now that are available. Good luck to all in whatever decision you make. Trust me on this.

Anyone know what the pay will be chopped to? And will pilots get longevity back?

I feel for all of you Comair guys and gals. We were in the same boat a few months back. Hate to see the same tactics and scenarios being played out at Comair. Good luck to all of you, it is a painful process.

Ozzy,b4 I hit the sack here in sub zero temps... Go to the interview, if anything its great experience to go thru one. Listen to what they say,DO NOT DRINK THE KOOL Aid but listen. But also, aggressively pursue others as well. I personally have been with other airlines, (furloughs)and all have their problems, however for the most part we were treated with somewhat respect, but fell to economic times and 911. Since being here I can honestly say that is not the case when it comes from management. History has repeated its ugly head here and for that MANY MANY good pilots are leaving. Pilots that have given their all here. Now, will things improve? Time will tell, but it will be a LONG time before the dust settles here. Rather than gaining aircraft acqusitions or growing, we are shrinking and going to insulting primative working rules. Other regionals are prospering. Just consider the entire picture beforemaking a decision here. Believe it or not, ball is in your court. Good luck guys and gals

Someone asked what the pay rates are now.Ido not have the implemented sheet with me, however, I am a 6 year FO without a raise in almost two years since our freeze.I am 39.51 an hour. This should be at closeto 47 an hour.I willnow regress to my second year at 35 an hour.An actualnew hire at two years will make less. I will upgrade in a month and 6 year CA pay is 64.54 according to the new terms. I have heard that since we are frozen, I may be upgraded an put at 5 year CA pay at 62an hour although I am at 6 years and a 1 month away from 7 years. Toput in perspective,I should be at 76 an hour but will be at possibly 62 an hour. Sorry if confusing, Im tired.. Hope this helps...in addition, per diem is also reduced (I guess we eat less than deltasince we fly more) to 1.55 anhour. No uniform allowance and reserves will work in senority call out UNTIL they 60 hours (75 hours gar) then it will snap to the next guy. Basically you will not break garauntee. 75% on dead heads now...and we have MANY MANY....MANY deadheads...equates to lost money. Many more terms imposed including vacation acrurals etc etc....ugly here folks. Shame....really is. We are losing the battle big time but the war is not over....I hope ALPA has somethinguptheir sleeve....meantime...we fly...we fly safely and get job done....fake smile....but we get it done...LOL take care to all...
