I laughed when I read this. It's so true!

Now picture this: You're sitting in the FO seat, at cruise on the last leg of the day and 5 cups of coffee in. The coffee has kept you reasonably sharp, but your bladder doesn't approve. You find yourself desperately needing to relieve yourself. After the formalities, you exit the cabin and begin heading for the lavatory when you see a 15 person long line.

You certainly can't wait in line, but you can't bring yourself to barging past 15 people who've been 'patiently' waiting.

There's only one clear course of action:

You stick your head into the cabin and let the captain know the situation...

"Ladies and gentleman, this is your captain speaking. We're going to have to go ahead and turn the seat-belt sign back on and ask you to return to your seats as there's been reports of turbulence ahead..."

Hello, sir. Curiously, was this meant to be at all funny? If it was I think underfed dogs decapitating small children for food would contain more humor. Not trying to be a slag, just curious. That is all.

Hell, we can't come out of the cockpit unless the seat belt sign is on and everyone is in their seats.

Caffeine pills over coffee for precisely this reason. Cheaper, too.

This is why I love this forum. Humor? Heavens, no. Just adding context that was missing from Mr. Rowe's blog piece.

This is when that whole "planning, timing, coordination" thing really comes in handy.

Geez....lighten up Francis! We are just trying to break the monotony of an otherwise 'doom and gloom' regional airline web forum. But to placate your response, I kneel in humble regret for failing at humor.

Hope your day gets better.
