Great job to be home a lot and I had a blast flying to the islands and around Florida. It's also a great pilot group. Unfortunately you get abused pretty bad from crew scheduling (not their fault). Their running extremely short on pilots because their not doing anything to retain them. There's no flow/interview setup and it's very difficult to go from there to a major. On top of that it's very poor pay. They are in the middle of renegotiating a contract but who knows how long it could take. I left for Endeavor and I'm VERY happy here. All their bases are easily commutable from MCO and the future/pay/growth is fantastic.

Good info! What are the upgrade times at Silver nowadays? I'm housed in MLB so I'll probably be looking at PSA for a quick commute to CLT whenever I get up to ATP mins, if they still have that line by then. MCO is also a good option and I actually flew from there to DFW for my interview with Envoy but like someone else said those flights are always very crowded . . . if they finally open up MIA as a base again then that's another option for having a crashpad not too far from home!

I am not trying to be rude or down on Silver, if I were 10 years younger I would seriously consider doing that once I get my certs, but seriously, why would anyone fly for that airline when they could fly for a regional instead?

Flying around the islands sounds awesome, but you can make nearly twice what they pay, if you were go to a regional instead. Just trying to understand....

I've been trying to get MCO base and still waiting. Based in IAD for almost 4 months already. I got a job offer with Envoy and I'm considering big time. Better benefits etc. Pilot and flt attendant group at silver is awesome. Nice people to work. But if they don't bring a good pay raise soon and other benefits to keep and attract mlre pilots who knows whats gonna happen. This month I count like 10 pilots that left Silver.

I think Miami will be open again for Envoy may be this year or beginning of next year. Heard the performance with Republic in Miami is horrible.

I wouldn't count on that.

Spirit lowered their mins to 2kTT with 1k multi with the FLL base. G4 has 4 bases in FL with rumors of opening a 5th FL base in JAX and I've heard of them hiring with 500hrs of 121 turbine.

These days it would be a large initial paycut to go there, but most likely worth it

Heard any new news on Silver airways? Saw that they got a new pilot contract which upped the pay similar to regionals. Is there any chance of flow through to majors if someone were to fly at Silver?

Yeah, they are growing into more flights they cant staff. Envoy got back 40 lines worth of that MIA flying for May. Hopefully it continues until we get our base back.

Remember RAH is owned by American, Delta and United. Not sure American would replace them in Miami this year. Especially with RAH about to come out of bankruptcy, would sink their investment.
