Bases in Florida.

Hey can somebody tell me what regionals are based in Florida. I kno envoy used to be based in Miami, but I've heard rumors that they're pulling out. I haven't heard much more about other Florida cities.

RAH has a Miami hub (way senior though)......I'd suggest looking for what's easiest to commute to. ATL probably, maybe CLT. That opens the door to regionals that have a large hub presence in those locations. Understand I am only speaking about commutability I am in no way offering an opinion on the regionals at those places.......end disclaimer!

Like they said rah Miami and that could go away.

Envoy MIGHT see Miami again eventually maybe

I'm just looking for the best way to be able to live in Florida and still fly dos someone decent

There's SilverAirways.....FL based but with a Dulles hub, which is where you may start.....but you can get down there fairly soon......all depends on what level of pain you are willing to endure, and in what form I would guess. There are options....how good they are will be based on your tolerance level.

How bad is an MCO -DFW commute for an Envoy pilot? Or TPA-DFW?

Ok, so the image won't show (Not sure why, perhaps because this site can't "see" png files?)

At any rate, visit: http://www.pilotdomiciles.com/pilot_...-2-23-2016.png

The best option to live in Florida and still work at a decent regional is commuting. I live in JAX and the commute to Charlotte isn't bad at all. It was one of the deciding factors for why I chose my airline. Keep in mind that inter-Florida travel can be extremely difficult. For instance, JAX-CLT is pretty easy. JAX-ATL is tougher but still doable... JAX-MIA is super tough. Loads are always full. So unless you live in a specific Florida base I would look to commute outside of Florida. Charlotte for PSA, Raleigh for TSA or GoJet, DC for CommutAir, LaGuardia (NYC) for Endeavor...

Yeah, they are growing into more flights they cant staff. Envoy got back 40 lines worth of that MIA flying for May. Hopefully it continues until we get our base back.
