Been this way for years. It is all under DAL's control and they expect the regionals to meet their demands but not providing a contract to do what they want with their regional players. Hell DAL at one time owned SureJet, I mean ASA, and didn't provide or change anything when they were our owners. But they made sure losers like Barnett could take an RJ for his and conies trips to Naples and who knows where else. Then Charley ran it into the ground, and that other clown who took over for Barnett (another DAL transplant) who had no clue how to run an airline. Then when SKYW bought ASA he got $7-800,000 worth of stock! Only way to fix it is get rid of the regionals completely and return it all to mainline. But DAL likes that low cost feed don't they?

Worthless article. It brings up an issue; the pilot staffing problem at regionals, but the rest of the article does nothing to address that problem at all.
